Guidance
   Guidance
Student achievement is the goal of our guidance program.  We provide academic and personal support for students and parents alike.  By utilizing classroom and individual guidance, character and career education, and programs such as Positive Behavior Support and Response to Intervention, we provide a safe environment to guide students through their formative years.

I am Caroline Hitchcock and this is my 31st year in Flagler County Schools, as a teacher, administrator  and counselor.  I received my Master’s Degree from the University of North Florida and am certified in Elementary, Middle School Language Arts, Counseling, and have a Florida Principal’s Certification.  In addition I am certified as a counselor by the  National Board of Professional  Teaching Standards. I love working with children, teachers and parents. It is very rewarding and lots of fun to see children grow and achieve.

I am Teresa Shipp, and this is my 5th year as a guidance counselor at Old Kings Elementary.  I received my Masters Degree in Counseling from Webster University.  I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Flagler College.  I started my career in counseling at a non-profit agency in St. Augustine.  There I was an Alpha Counselor and a Prevention Specialist.

I enjoy being a guidance counselor and working with children.  I believe that every student should be given the opportunity to be successful, and I am proud to be a part of a school that shares the same belief.

As the newest member of the guidance team at Old Kings Elementary School, I am proud to be an owl. This year I have the pleasure of working with Old Kings’ fifth and sixth graders.
I earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University, Teachers College in New York City.  Previously, I have worked as a career and academic counselor at a community college and as a guidance counselor at Buddy Taylor Middle School.   This is my 10th year in the field of counseling.
I love working with children and feel that by collaborating with parents and school personnel, we can help children grow into successful, productive and caring adults.   I look forward to continuing my work with the parents, students and staff at Old Kings Elementary School.
